Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: January 15, 2026

📋 Important Notice

The information on this page provides a general overview of our services and policies.

Detailed and legally binding Admission Terms & Conditions are explained and accepted during patient registration. Those terms supersede this general information and constitute the binding agreement between patients and Bhalo-Basa Bridhabas.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Bhalo-Basa Bridhabas. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Services Provided

Bhalo-Basa Bridhabas provides elderly care services including but not limited to:

  • Residential care for senior citizens
  • Bedridden patient care
  • Dementia and Alzheimer's care
  • Palliative care services
  • Medical supervision and nursing care
  • Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
  • Nutritional support and meal services

The specific services provided may vary based on individual needs and facility capabilities.

3. Admission and Enrollment

3.1 Eligibility

Admission to our facility is subject to availability and assessment of the applicant's medical and care needs. We reserve the right to refuse admission if we determine that we cannot adequately meet the individual's care requirements.

3.2 Documentation

Required documents for admission include:

  • Valid government-issued identification
  • Medical history and current health records
  • Emergency contact information
  • Signed admission agreement
  • Proof of payment or financial arrangement

4. Fees and Payment

4.1 Service Fees

Service fees are determined based on the level of care required and services provided. All fees must be paid in advance or as per the agreed payment schedule.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept payments through various methods including online payment, bank transfer, cheque, and cash. Online payments are processed through secure payment gateways.

4.3 Late Payment

Late payment may result in suspension of services. Additional charges may apply for overdue payments.

4.4 Fee Adjustments

We reserve the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice. Residents will be informed of any fee changes at least 30 days in advance.

4.5 Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required at the time of admission. The amount is determined based on the patient's care requirements and facility assessment, and is held against potential damages to facility property, outstanding dues at discharge, and assurance of financial commitment to care services. Where the patient has no family members or authorized representatives actively involved in care coordination, an enhanced security deposit of up to 3× the standard amount may be required at the facility's discretion, assessed on a case-by-case basis.

4.6 Nominee Declaration (Mandatory)

Declaration of a nominee is mandatory at the time of admission. The nominee is authorized to receive security deposit refunds after discharge or demise, sign discharge and settlement documents, and act as the primary point of contact for financial settlements. The nominee must be declared with full details (name, relationship, contact, address, KYC, bank account details, and signature). No registration will be processed without a valid nominee declaration.

4.7 Refund of Security Deposit

Security deposit refunds are processed only to the declared nominee's registered bank account — not to any other party, including family members not designated as nominees. At the time of discharge (voluntary or due to demise), 20% of the security deposit is deducted toward final cleaning, administrative processing, settlement, and wear and tear. Net Refund = Security Deposit − 20% − any outstanding dues. Refunds are processed within 30 days of discharge or demise via bank transfer, subject to completion of all discharge formalities and document submission by the nominee.

4.8 Self-Admission & Self-Nomination

If a patient is self-admitted and declares themselves as their own nominee (relationship: "Self"), then in the event of the patient's demise no security deposit refund will be processed and the deposit will be 100% forfeited and retained by the facility, as there is no legal heir or authorized representative to claim the refund. Patients selecting self-nomination must explicitly acknowledge this condition at registration.

5. Medical Care and Treatment

5.1 Medical Services

We provide nursing care and medical supervision. However, we are not a hospital and cannot provide emergency medical treatment. In case of medical emergencies, residents will be transferred to appropriate medical facilities.

5.2 Medications

All medications must be prescribed by qualified medical practitioners. We will administer medications as prescribed, but families are responsible for ensuring adequate supply of medications.

5.3 Medical Decisions

Families or designated representatives are responsible for making medical decisions. We will consult with families regarding significant health changes or treatment decisions.

7. Visiting Hours and Policies

Visiting hours are established to balance family involvement with resident rest and care routines. Visitors must follow facility guidelines and respect the privacy of other residents.

Special arrangements can be made for extended visits in case of serious illness or end-of-life care.

8. Personal Belongings

Residents may bring personal belongings within reasonable limits. We recommend labeling all items. While we take reasonable care, we are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

Valuable items should not be kept at the facility. We maintain the right to restrict items that may pose safety or health risks.

9. Termination of Services

9.1 Voluntary Discharge

Residents or their representatives may terminate services with a minimum of 15 days' written notice. If discharge is requested with less than 15 days' notice, the facility reserves the right to charge for the remaining notice period from the security deposit. Emergency discharges (medical necessity) are exempt. Refunds will be processed as per our refund policy.

9.2 Involuntary Discharge

We may terminate services if:

  • The resident's care needs exceed our capabilities
  • Payment obligations are not met
  • The resident or family engages in abusive or threatening behavior
  • The resident's presence poses a risk to others

Reasonable notice will be provided except in cases of immediate safety concerns.

10. Liability and Indemnification

While we strive to provide the highest quality care, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. We are not liable for injuries or health complications arising from pre-existing conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Families agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bhalo-Basa Bridhabas from claims arising from inaccurate information provided or failure to disclose relevant medical conditions.
